What age does my child have to be to play in your league?
Our Cal Ripken division is for players aged 9-12, while our Babe Ruth division is for players aged 13-16. We also offer a travel program for players aged 13-15.
My child is 8 years old. Can he play in the Cal Ripken league?
An 8-year-old may be allowed to play in our 9- and 10-year-old Cal Ripken Minors division. However, the player must meet a minimum ability standard (based on our spring evaluation session) in order to participate. 10-year-olds wanting to play up in our Cal Ripken Majors division and 12-year-olds wanting to play up in our Babe Ruth division must meet a similar standard.
How can I help out?
Volunteers are the lifeblood of our organization, and there are many ways to get involved. You can volunteer to coach one of our teams. You can join one of our committees, which oversee many of the league's operations. If you are a business owner, consider sponsoring a team.
